SOCO - It’s Where The Chefs Go

This Saturday, spend your morning at SOCO and The OC Mix - where OC's top chefs go to get their produce, olive oil, spices, tools, and more for the week ahead. Start at the SOCO Farmers’ Market which showcases dozens of Orange County farmers who sell their crops directly to the public. Held every Saturday, the SOCO Farmers’ Market features the freshest vegetables, fruit, meat, eggs, and more! Read on to see how you can get all of the highest quality ingredients - just like a professional chef does at SOCO and The OC Mix!

Every Saturday at the SOCO parking lot from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., you will find foodies and professional chefs shopping for the freshest, locally sourced produce in OC - including the freshest citrus and berries, avocados, seasonal vegetables, eggs, fresh squeezed juice, fresh roasted peppers, seasonal stone fruit, and so much more. Da-Le Ranch showcases free range farm-fresh, grass-fed, hormone- and steroid-free meats every Saturday for customers to enjoy.  Recent De-La Ranch highlight offerings included slabs of uncut bacon, whole chicken, thick rib eyes, racks of lamb, and round pork tenderloin. Also, if you are in a rush you can preorder on their website for quick and easy pick up at the SOCO Farmers' Market.

Chefs also love the Sweet Tree Farms stone fruit purveyor, who has recently been offering the most ripe and delicious pluots, plums, and peaches.

After you have stocked up on meat, fruits, veggies, honey, nuts and salsas, you can head directly across the way to Surfas Culinary District for all of your cooking tools! Surfas Culinary District is paradise found for chefs - and at-home cooks. Whether you are looking for cookware, cutlery, kitchen tools, even bar supplies – Surfas has it all! Before you leave SOCO, make sure you visit The OC Mix and get your seasonings at Savory Spice Shop, cheeses and OC Baking Company/Dean Kim's bread at The Cheese Shop, and wine and olive oil at We Olive. As you can see, SOCO and The OC Mix are your destination for culinary inspiration.
