Wild Taco, the cult-favorite taco joint with locations in Laguna Beach and Newport Beach, ramps up their to-go menus with new family-friendly takeout options. With a focus on Baja Californian cuisine and Santa Maria-style grilled meats, the modern-day taqueria makes it easy to bring home a fiesta.
Founded in 2015 by commercial fisherman-turned-restaurateur Thomas Carson, Wild Taco is inspired by Baja’s laid-back cantinas and California’s surf culture. Carson also owns Bear Flag Fish Co., which has three locations in coastal Orange County, and Circle Hook Fish Co. at Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach.
The Baja-inspired eatery focuses on wild-caught fish from Carson’s fleet of three fishing boats, including local and sustainable Swordfish, Bluefin Tuna, and Yellowtail caught along the coast.
The Wild Taco menu is available to-go, including its housemade margaritas, sangrias, and Aguas Frescas. As California braces for the impact of another stay-at-home order, the taqueria ramps up its menu of to-go offerings with a variety of Fiesta Packs designed to feed families of all sizes.
Each Family Fiesta Pack is complete with a choice of pollo asado, carne asada, or carnitas, or the fresh catch of the day (+$10), sides of rice and beans, flour or corn tortillas, and an assortment of Wild Taco’s toppings and salsas. Priced at $25 for families of two, $50 for families of four, the take-home-taco kits give families everything they need to recreate Wild Taco favorites at home. Wild Taco also offers larger Fiesta Packs, taco trays, and catering options.
Wild Taco has two locations, a flagship location in Newport Beach (407 31st St.) and a second location in Laguna Beach (188 S Coast Hwy), which recently opened in January 2020.
Both restaurants are open daily at 11 a.m. and open until 9 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday and until 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday. To-go orders can be placed online or by calling 949.549.4282 (Laguna Beach) or 949.673.9453 (Newport Beach). For more information and daily specials, connect with Wild Taco on Instagram.
