Nirvana Grille Laguna Beach Launches Extensive Food Resource

In response to the current coronavirus crisis that’s caused a local food shortage in grocery stores, Chef Lindsay and Luis Rosales & The Nirvana Grille family in Laguna Beach have set up a resource like no other. It’s an online Shopify store where you can order any food items that you might need and pick them up the same day.

There are fresh fruits, vegetables, 12 types of meats and seafood, six types of poultry, unbleached olive oil, yeast, and really good olive oil. You can also order meal kits, hot prepared meals to go, wine to go, and even batch cocktails and cocktail kits. Chef Lindsay says we all need peace of mind right now and that’s what she wants to offer in the form of offering food in a safe environment.

“In these times, we must pull together and we are here to help make sure mouths are fed, and panic is minimized. If you need any food items, cleaning supplies, household necessities, etc., we are ordering from our vendors and running a co-op,” Chef Lindsay said.

She would like to further her involvement and do even more for the Laguna Beach community. "I'm really trying to stay hyper-focused on Laguna Beach because this is where I was born and raised. I have the gift of having my business here and the support of our community over the last almost 13 years. I feel so enthralled to be able to give back to me being able to do what I love every day." She is in the need for funding to:

  • Help keep her own staff (and laid off staff from other restaurants) employed.
  • Acquire used commercial refrigeration equipment for additional inventory volume.
  • Deliver hot meals and grocery items to doctors and nurses on the front lines and to Laguna Woods Village Retirement Community.
  • Assist the local Friendship Shelter in providing prepared meals.

Donations, if possible can be made at myshopify.com/products/donation.

The Nirvana Grille Grocery Co-Op is open Tuesday - Saturday, 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. All orders are for same-day delivery or pickup. Please add any additional information (exact time, food prep., etc.) in the notes section on the CART page before checkout.
