Ewan McGregor to Receive TV Performance of the Year Award at 2024 Newport Beach Film Festival

The 2024 Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF) will honor Ewan McGregor with the TV Performance of the Year Award for his role in A Gentleman in Moscow. McGregor, who also serves as an executive producer, will receive the award after a live recording of The Hollywood Reporter’sAwards Chatter podcast with Scott Feinberg on October 22 at Pelican Hill Resort. The festival runs through Oct. 24, 2024.

McGregor, renowned for roles in Trainspotting, Star Wars, Moulin Rouge, and Halston (for which he won an Emmy), has built a diverse career in film and television. His credits span genres, with recent projects including Mother, Couch and Bleeding Love, and upcoming work on Flowervale Street and his Long Way adventure series.

Other festival honorees include Nicolas Cage, Joan Chen, Colman Domingo, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Christoph Waltz, with films such as Old Guy (Opening Night) and A Real Pain (Closing Night) highlighting the schedule. Tickets for most films are $20, with special event pricing and festival passes available at NewportBeachFilmFest.com.
