Coffee enthusiasts can now get their fix at Bruxie, known for its unique waffle sandwiches. All six Bruxie locations just introduced, The Bold Blend, a rich and flavorful custom crafted coffee, along with a full barista service with espresso-based beverages, including cappuccinos and signature flavored lattes.
Bruxie’s partners have been on a mission to offer a new coffee and espresso experience--bold and complex--to complement the flavors on the Bruxie menu. The locally roasted specialty coffee features a proprietary blend of 100% fair trade imported coffee beans. The four-bean blend, Sumatra, Brazil, Ethiopa and Costa Rica, uses a variety of roasting techniques and styles for the coffee lover who enjoys the perfect roast.
Bruxie also offers The Bold Blend Decaf option for those looking for a rich caffeine free coffee. The espresso served at Bruxie is created from the same blend used in The Bold Blend coffee.

Learn to Cook at Fig & Olive
Cooking enthusiasts can have a rare chance to take an engaging hands-on cooking class taught by Executive Chef Pascal Lorange at Fig & Olive at Fashion Island on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, from 3-5 p.m.
Chef Lorange will demonstrate his tips and tricks for preparing three signature dishes at Fig & Olive including zucchini carpaccio with lemon, pine nut, parmesan, and picholine olive oil; Chilean sea bass marinated with lemon thyme, carrot, asparagus, celery root purée, heirloom potato, charmoula mascarpone, and harissa olive oil emulsion; and an apple tart with caramelized apples and vanilla ice cream
Participants can hone their cooking skills as they follow along step-by-step preparing each dish. They will learn how to cook with olive oil, as well as culinary techniques such as baking “en papillote: and enjoy a Piscine cocktail, composed of sparkling wine and organic strawberries.
