The 115th Annual Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade is one of the premier holiday events in the nation. Over a hundred decorated yachts and ships of all sizes take part competing for top honors in several categories. Yachts go all out with thousands of lights and elaborate décor to win top honors.
This year, the Sons of American Legion- Squadron 291 will host a Premier Boat Parade Viewing and Dinner for five nights, Wednesday, December 13 through Sunday, December 17, 2023, from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.
(The boats will begin to pass by the American Legion Newport Harbor Post around 6:45 p.m.)
The Donation for Premier Boat Parade Viewing and Dinner is $50* and the seat is yours for the entire evening! The proceeds go to help their Troops, Veterans & their Families throughout the year.
*Tickets are $50 each, regardless of the age of the guest as this is a fundraiser.
This year's theme is a Country Christmas and the viewing party donation includes a buffet-style selection of Bean Soup, BBQ Chicken, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Mac n’ Cheese, Coleslaw, and Brownies for Dessert.
Seating is on the outdoor patio with most tables accommodating six guests. Heater lamps will be available but do dress warmly. Orders of five are required to purchase the table of six. It is encouraged to invite friends and family to join you. If you are a small group, you will be sitting with other people at the table. Only ticketed guests will be allowed entry, no tickets will be sold at the door.
A “No Host Bar” will be available. Corkage is $10 per bottle. Coffee, Tea, and Hot Chocolate will also be available near the Buffet.
For those with reservations, the Boat Parade Registration opens at 4 p.m. Dinner starts at 5 p.m. and the Boat Parade begins to pass the viewing location around 6:45 p.m. A musician will follow the parade on the patio.
Parking for Members is first come, first served in the Post 291 Parking Lot however, the lot fills up early. Parking for Non-Members is available on local streets and at local churches for a fee. They strongly suggest carpooling and taking LYFT or UBER.
