Founded in 2020 by Roland Karam, EZ Kebab draws inspiration from the vibrant street food culture of his childhood in Lebanon. While this is Karam's inaugural restaurant venture, he brings years of experience as an entrepreneur, having successfully launched and scaled multiple businesses across Southern California. The unexpected circumstances of the pandemic allowed EZ Kebab's catering business to flourish during a time when intimate at-home gatherings became increasingly popular. Now, with the opening of their first restaurant, Karam is thrilled to share his love for Lebanese cuisine and culture with the wider community.
Situated in the iconic A-frame building off Harbor Blvd. in Costa Mesa, EZ Kebab's new location provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests. Previously home to a Wienerschnitzel, this 400-square-foot structure features a walk-up window where patrons can easily place their orders. Additionally, there is a 500-square-foot patio available for those who wish to enjoy their meals on-site. Setting itself apart, EZ Kebab proudly stands as the first Mediterranean restaurant in Orange County to offer a convenient drive-through, a distinctive feature that Karam hopes to replicate in future locations.
Indulge in Authentic Lebanese Delights: At EZ Kebab, you can expect an authentic Lebanese dining experience, with an array of mouthwatering options that made their catering business a hit. Dive into their char-grilled kebabs, succulent spit-roasted shawarma, flavorful falafel, and a host of other traditional dishes.
The menu boasts kebab plates, shawarma wraps, and pitas filled with halal meats such as ribeye steak, chicken breast, and beef kafta. Vegan options are also available, including the beloved falafel, Fattoush salad, and tabouli. For those seeking a personalized meal, EZ Kebab offers a build-your-own bowl where guests can select from various proteins, bases, veggies, and sauces. Complementing these delectable choices are traditional Lebanese sides like hummus, baba ghanoush, grape leaves, lentil soup, tabouli, and fattoush salad.
All the food is cooked on-site, and certain items such as hummus, marinades, and toum—a traditional Lebanese garlic spread—are prepared at EZ Kebab's catering facility in Costa Mesa. This facility serves as a commercial kitchen, supporting both the restaurant and the catering business. It ensures consistency across all EZ Kebab kitchens while laying the groundwork for expansion throughout Southern California and beyond. With an eye toward growth, Karam is actively searching for additional locations in Orange County to further establish the EZ Kebab brand.
You can find EZ Kebab's brand-new location at 1951 Harbor Blvd. in Costa Mesa. The restaurant currently operates from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, with extended hours anticipated in the near future.
