The Hot List by The OC Mix

Here at Greer’s OC, we scour Orange County for the best boutiques and one-of-a-kind finds. Luckily, some of the top retailers we love are all under one roof at The OC Mix at SOCO in Costa Mesa.  We love to shop local, so here's our list of the hottest, must-have goods from these fabulous, owner-operated shops.

The OC Mix at SOCO is a carefully curated collection of artisan, owner-operated culinary, fashion, and lifestyle purveyors inspired by the San Francisco Ferry Building and L.A.’s best shopping streets- located in our own backyard!  At The OC Mix, you'll find some of the most unique jewelry, handmade goods, hard-to-find brands, and exceptional pieces that will be in your closet for years. Here are the top picks for what’s hot this August. Be sure to make your way to SOCO soon – these items are selling out fast!

Lili Claspe jewelry store owner and designer, Stephie Tchamanian, can’t keep the Rosie Bracelet ($70) on the shelves! This haute item comes in a variety of colors to suit every individual style. Pictured is a lavender silk cord with 14k rose gold filigree charm embellished with Swarovski crystals. It’s the perfect gift for a friend – or yourself!

David Gonzales, owner of Alexander Gray, is a talented eyewear purveyor who has has been matching faces to frames and vice versa at the world-famous Fred Segal Santa Monica and The OC Mix for years. Right now, he recommends the handcrafted polarized eyewear by Salt Optics – specifically the Hanna Style ($415) in glacier grey gradient. This frame is a great shape and look for individuals with a unique sense of style!

Cloth & Metal is a retailer for the modern gent with all goods hand-selected by owner Scott Sablan. Right now, the Icon Blazer from Almond Surf is a haute item. This unstructured, tailored fit blazer made in California using 100% cotton looped-French terry just happens to be on sale for $98 (normally $142)!

Stoned Jewelry at The OC Mix designs and manufactures all of their own jewelry – and many pieces are custom designs. Lucky for you, you can purchase their best-seller – the classic stud kicked up a notch! These hip yet classic studs are set with 14k champagne color diamonds accented in blackened gold ($890).

Whiskey Tango 1977 carries lines with that classic Americana feel -- blue collar styles with a modern fit and strong craftsmanship.  Co-owner Mike Dowdell says you can’t go wrong with a Daniel Wellington watch. The classic, preppy watch is suitable for every occasion and the Nato straps are interchangeable. These sophisticated watches are priced at just $195-$225 - see more styles at Whiskey Tango 1977.
