Found The Missing LinX

For the ultimate hot dog, you need to get over to LinX in Old Towne Orange where Chef Scott Brandon elevates the hot dog experience by creating dogs like you’ve never tasted before from artisan sausages custom made at Europa Specialty Sausage and served on fresh baked rolls from the OC Baking Company. Each one is steamed in beer and then grilled and topped with house-made organic, locally sourced toppings and sauces.

Brandon, formerly the founder and Chef at Crow Bar and Kitchen in Corona del Mar and a James Beard Foundation award recipient while at Oysters in Corona del Mar, founded LinX along with entrepreneur, Rick Kagasoff. The two created a one of a kind local spot to gather and enjoy artisan food and craft beers, limited production wines and gourmet sodas. The name comes from what was missing in Orange, the missing ‘linx’ was the absence of a great hot dog joint.

At the counter, you can choose between ten “Haute LinX” or create your own. But why mess with perfection? Just order off the HL menu and you’ll be more than happy you did.

We recommend the Chicago Dawg, with a griddled frank, neon green relish, sport peppers vine-ripe tomato, beer mustard, pickle spear, celery salt and poppy seed roll; or our favorite Beer Brat with a Neurenberger bratwurst, bacon-apple kraut, beer mustard and the amazing pretzel roll; or a BBQ, Bacon and Blues Dog with smoked cheddar bratwurst, bacon marmalade, blue cheese bacon aioli, honey mustard, honey BBQ, crispy onions, and potato roll.

Hard to imagine you’ll have room for dessert, but if so, you have two delicious options: an oatmeal-apple strudel ice cream sandwich with salted caramel or fresh donut holes with dark chocolate ganache.

Open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday to Friday; 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

LinX is at 238 W. Chapman Ave. Suite 100 in Orange. 714.744.DOGS 3647.
