You're invited to SOCO and The OC Mix this Friday, from 3 to 8 p.m. for the Halloween Fall Fest, featuring an evening of activities and an outdoor movie for the whole family to enjoy! Bring your little gremlins and goblins in costume to celebrate Halloween early with a pumpkin patch, face painting and a chance to decorate pumpkins using Chalk Paint from Peinture!
The Halloween Fall Fest at SOCO and The OC Mix will be an evening of fun for all ages! A free, family-friendly film - Hocus Pocus from Disney will be shown in the SOCO Courtyard (bring your own chairs), where gourmet popcorn and Halloween treats from Surfas Culinary District will be available for purchase. Be sure to come well before the 6:30 p.m. movie, as festival activities start at 3 p.m. And, also on Friday, Granola Babies will give a *free* one hour pass to Art + Play from 1 to 3 p.m. for kids ages 0-5 in costume! Space is limited so please RSVP by clicking here.
Here's your sneak peek at the spooky line-up of Halloween Fall Fest activities at SOCO and The OC Mix:
-Face painting with Couture Paintings.
-Pumpkins from Melissa’s Produce to decorate using Chalk Paint from Peinture.
-A photo booth provided by Eva Lempert Photography – so be sure to have your goblins and gremlins come in costume!
-Fun costumed characters from Party Karacters.
-Greenleaf SOCO will offer a free kids meal to all kids (12 yrs and under) dressed in costume.
-Gourmet popcorn and other snacks from Surfas Culinary District.
-Drop off and Dine - drop off your kids for fun activities while you enjoy a date night! Starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity.
-The evening concludes with a FREE SOCO Movie Night, provided by The Gear Co-op, featuring Hocus Pocus! The movie will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The Pumpkin Patch will continue on Saturday and Sunday for your family fun. Also on Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to noon, you can Drop In and Draw at the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity, where you will be guided by the Center's teaching artist to create your own creative pumpkin design.

Tacos In Support of Breast Cancer Awareness
Just in time for National Breast Cancer Awareness month, taco asylum in Costa Mesa will be offering a special menu focused on its favorite breasts in a taco!
Get in to taco asylum now through Tuesday, Oct. 29, for three special tacos, made with lamb breast, duck breast and veal breast, and they will donate 20% of the sales from these tacos to support breast cancer programs at Breast Cancer Solutions, an organization that provides breast cancer patients with direct assistance, community referrals, and compassionate support.
Today, the special taco is milk-braised veal breast with Carolina-style BBQ sauce, roasted corn salsa, and celery leaves.
Thursday through Saturday, stop in for a duck breast tenders with togarashi, pickled carrot julienne, cilantro, daikon sprouts, hoisin and black garlic aioli.
Sunday through Tuesday, the special taco is vadouvan lamb breast with masala yogurt, pickled English cucumber with turmeric, and onion sprouts.
Happy Hour is offered every Monday through Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. and 9 to 11 p.m. with $2 off all beers and $1 off all tacos.
