Closing Time at Detroit Bar

The Detroit Bar in Westside Costa Mesa, one of the best venues in Orange County for live indie, rock, and alternative music, will be closing in a few weeks and reopening as a new incarnation, the Wayfarer, a House of Social Provisions. New owners, Jeff Chon and the Wayfarer Group, also of the Alley in Newport Beach and Tabu Shabu in Costa Mesa, will continue the beloved Detroit Bar’s legacy of live music while serving classic and modern pub fare.

For its final month, the Detroit Bar has planned great shows for its music loving fans. Doors open 8 p.m., shows start at 9 p.m.

On Wednesday, The Merry Rounders, Purple Mountains Majesties, and Creatures Choir.

On Thursday, Feb. 20, Painted Wives (formerly Railroad to Alaska) O Zorn, Mammoth Thunderpower.

On Friday, Feb. 21, Moonsville Collective, RT N The 44’s, Sam Outlaw, Ted Z and the Wranglers, These Pilgrims.

On Saturday, Feb. 22, Spindrift, Restavrant, Parker Macy Blues Band, Dano Forte Juke Joint Freak Show, Hank and Her Ponies.

On Sunday, Feb. 23, Karaoke Sundays, Opening Up Our Stage to You, Free Weekly.

On Monday, Feb. 24, Matt Costa.

On Tuesday, Feb. 25 Flinch, Clicks & Whistles, Kelly Dean, TEALONG, and Tony K.

On Wednesday, Feb. 26 FMLYBND, Tapioca and the Flea, Josh Harmony, Reverend Baron, DJ Fiicusfillson (Wildcat! Wildcat!).
