Get ready to enjoy some of the world’s best dumplings late summer at South Coast Plaza when Din Tai Fung, the world famous dumpling house opens its doors. The New York Times reportedly named Din Tai Fung, tentatively scheduled to open in the former McDonald’s on Level 2 in August, as one top ten restaurants in the world.

The award-winning Taiwan based restaurant currently has 82 locations including in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Korea, as well as three U.S. locations closer to home, in Arcadia, Glendale, and Seattle. Din Tai Fung, so beloved by loyal fans, ranked higher than McDonald’s and Starbucks on a list of "best franchises for travelers" published by CNN Travel last fall.

One of our favorite local bakers, Louise Sandy Baking, has Paris in mind for her Valentine treats available to order now for loved ones.

From the iconic Eiffel Tower to a bundle of vintage French love letters, Louise Sandy's delicious and beautifully decorated cookies, cupcakes, brownie pops can come in cellophane bags tied with co-ordinating ribbon – or in groups in a window display box.  

You can also order a stunning single rose which features a brownie pop center clothed in pink chocolate petals. Certain cookie designs can be customized with a name or short message such as "I love you" - or even, "Will you marry me?"!  Custom tags with your own message are also available for individually packaged cookies and brownie pops.
