It’s been a banner summer already for Alicia Whitney and the team behind SeaLegs Wine Bar and the new SeaSalt Woodfire Grill in Huntington Beach. Whitney and her team have enacted a long-term partnership with California State Parks at Bolsa Chica State Beach, including a long-term lease to operate four concession restaurants at the three-mile long Bolsa Chica State Beach.
It’s the first California State Parks agreement to include more than one restaurant type concession in one agreement, and it’s only the second restaurant concession at a state park in Orange County. The Crystal Cove Alliance was awarded the first contract in 2006 to operate The Beachcomber at Crystal Cove in Newport Coast.
Their first two concession stands, SeaLegs at the Beach and Pacific Kitchen at Bolsa Chica State Beach just opened, and SeaSalt Woodfire Burger will open this month and Beach City Provisions will open in August.
SeaLegs on the Beach is a casual rendition of SeaLegs Wine Bar, the award-winning wine bar and lounge, where diners can enjoy Bananas Fosters French Toast during an award-winning Champagne brunch or toast the sunset daily with a glass of rosé and SeaLegs’ signature flatbreads.
At Pacific Kitchen, the menu showcases locally sourced sustainable seafood. Kean coffee and acai bowls are perfect for morning beachgoers, and fresh poke, fish tacos and a cold Corona are on the afternoon menu for those surfing “Old Man’s” surf point at Bolsa Chica State Beach.
When SeaSalt Woodfire Burger opens, you can pull up and enjoy the view while dining on a Santa Maria Tri-Tip Sandwich or the Signature SeaSalt Burger with a craft beer.
Beach City Provisions will be the beach destination for original brews and comfort food perfect for any beachgoer’s appetite. You can can enjoy local Southern Californian craft beers and enjoy gourmet provisions such as the Shrimp Po’ Boy Baguette while RVing at Bolsa Chica State Beach.
Enter at the main entrance to Bolsa Chica State Beach, on PCH between Warner and Seapoint. You can access all four concessions from this entrance (turn right after you pass the parking attendant for SeaLegs at the Beach, turn left for Pacific Kitchen).
