Aria Kitchen: A Fusion of Mexican and Persian Flavors in Irvine

Aria Kitchen, a fresh addition to Irvine's culinary scene, beautifully blends Mexican and Persian cuisines. Founded by sisters Mahta and Anahita Ariarad, second-generation restaurateurs deeply rooted in the Irvine community, this fusion concept pays homage to their Persian heritage while embracing their love for Mexican flavors.

The Ariarad sisters' journey in the restaurant industry began in their father’s renowned Super Irvine, a market dedicated to sourcing Persian and international ingredients since 1996. After the closing of Super Irvine in 2022, the sisters continued their culinary venture, drawing from their family's heirloom recipes and their years of involvement in the market.

At Aria Kitchen, indulge in a fusion menu featuring Mexican classics prepared with halal meats, Persian spices, and Mediterranean ingredients. Signature starters include Empanadas with unique fillings like beef and barberry, pulled chicken, and curried potatoes, served with a chipotle yogurt dip. The entrée selections showcase creativity, such as Slow-Cooked Lamb Shank Burrito and mesquite-grilled Shrimp Kabobs with mushrooms.

The menu celebrates family-style dining, offering shareable items like the Taco Flight, presenting a variety of taco options. Lunch options include Lunch Bowl renditions of dinner entrees, bringing a delightful array of flavors to the table.

Weekend brunch at Aria Kitchen is a feast of sweet and savory dishes, presenting a lavish Persian Breakfast Platter and delightful options like French Toast topped with berries and saffron-orange cream.

Complementing the diverse menu are specialty cocktails featuring Persian ingredients like watermelon, mint, and saffron, enhancing the fusion experience. The ambiance at Aria Kitchen is carefully curated, reflecting elegance and natural elements, making it a cornerstone for culinary enthusiasts in Irvine. Venture into this fusion haven and savor the blend of two rich culinary traditions.

Aria Kitchen is located off Jamboree in Irvine (2626 Dupont) and is open daily for breakfast at 8 a.m. and will also offer lunch, and dinner. Weekend brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays beginning at 9 a.m.
