Another locals favorite used records shop, Factory Records in Costa Mesa is celebrating Record Store Day from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 16. They will be getting their biggest batch of RSD vinyl ever. They will have tons of first time out used vinyl, rare LP’s and its famed $1 parking lot sale.

Beyond Measure Film Debut in OC

Concerned about your overscheduled, exhausted, stressed out student? Come see an inspiring film showing that change has started. On Tuesday, April 19th, a revolutionary new documentary called "Beyond Measure: What Counts Can't be Counted" will debut at two Orange County locations: Regency South Coast Village Theater in Costa Mesa at 9:30 a.m., and Sea Country Community Center in Laguna Niguel, at 7 p.m.
This important film is a follow up to Director Vicki Abeles' eye-opening "Race to Nowhere" documentary and highlights innovative schools on the cutting-edge of education reform. They demonstrate that it is possible to transcend outmoded, test-driven education policies and create more equitable, empowering, student-centered schools.
Director Vicki Abeles will be in attendance at both screenings and will be signing her companion book also called Beyond Measure: Rescuing an overscheduled, overtested, underestimated generation. Following the screenings, there is an opportunity for a meet and greet with Vicki on Wednesday, April 20th at 10 a.m. in Laguna Niguel, which helps her nonprofit foundation further this important work.
