NB Film Fest CLOSING NIGHT FILM AND CELEBRATION

The Newport Beach Film Festival will end its eight-day run with the Southern California premiere of “The Fixer” on Thursday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Regency Lido Live in Newport Beach. Following the screening, the Newport Beach Film Festival, with Modern Luxury will host the Closing Night Celebration at Via Lido Plaza.
The outdoor event will feature culinary creations from top Orange County’s top restaurants, hosted bar by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Stella Artois, live entertainment and a special fashion presentation from Ted Baker London.
“The Fixer” tells the story of a former Afghan journalist who settles in a small town in Northern California and takes a job with a local newspaper. However, when he attempts to cover local crime, he stumbles into local corruption that puts himself and others in danger.
Tickets to the Closing Night Film and Celebration are $95 and can be purchased in advance at the Festival’s website. The minimum age for guests is 21 years old.

Enjoy NBFF Movies & Meals at The Triangle Through Thursday

There are still a couple of days left to see some of the phenomenal documentaries and other films in the Newport Beach Film Festival, which ends on Thursday. One of the screening locations, and a NBFF sponsor, is The Triangle in Costa Mesa. Located in the heart of Costa Mesa, The Triangle is a convenient location for catching festival entries and enjoying lunch or dinner before or after the movie.
Some of the dining options include La Vida Cantina, known for its fresh and authentic Mexican cuisine. Offering an atmosphere that seemingly transports visitors to the Mexican Riviera, La Vida Cantina’s signature dishes include Ahi Tostaditas, La Vida Burrito, Ceviche, and Lobster Enchiladas. The bar menu offers an extensive cocktail menu featuring premium tequilas, 17 signature margaritas and an array of uniquely crafted martinis. Craft beer and a wine list are also available. The restaurant also offers late night dining, with a reverse happy hour Thursday through Saturday, from 11 p.m. until 2 a.m.
Tavern + Bowl features a gourmet menu with everything made fresh from scratch, 40 beers on draft and a host of specialty cocktails. The restaurant offers everything from grilled oysters Kilpatrick, to filet mignon steak tacos and more. Guests with dietary restrictions will be happy to note that Tavern + Bowl’s menu includes items that are vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and paleolithic.
H20 Sushi & Izakaya is a beautiful and contemporary restaurant serving an Asian-inspired menu, including a fresh sushi bar. Everything on the menu is prepared using traditional principles with a modern twist. H20 is open daily for lunch and dinner, and also has an All Day Happy Hour on Thursdays, a reverse happy hour from 9 pm until close daily, and an all-you-can eat sushi special for $28.95 daily.
Saddle Ranch Chop House specializes in steaks and other American fare, and visitors shouldn’t miss the restaurant’s signature oversized cotton candy dessert or mechanical bull rides. Saddle Ranch is open daily for lunch and dinner. Yard House is a popular choice for its burgers and Creamistry is known for its made-to-order liquid nitrogen ice cream treats, perfect for an evening snack or afternoon pick-me-up!

The Triangle is located at the end of the 55 Freeway, where Newport Blvd., Harbor Blvd. and 19th Street intersect.
