Hardcore Sport is a woman-owned designer, manufacturer and distributor of premium swimsuits, water polo and training gear, clothing and accessories. It was founded by two competitive swimmers who know about grueling workouts and gear that needs to last.
Whitney Hentzen and Mia Andersen met on a swim team at 5, and went on to swim in high school together. Whitney competed in swim at USC and Mia at UCI in swim/waterpolo. They recently created a special capsule collection dedicated to all things California for men and women. Members of the US Men’s Olympic Water Polo team, Caption Tony Acevedo and Goalie Merrill Mosses will both be sporting the California Collection in Rio.
All Hardcore Sports products are manufactured in LA and the company is proud to maintain its “Made in the USA” ethos. All products are made with top quality materials and craftsmanship to withstand extreme workouts that athletes put their uniforms through.
Hardcore Sport is one of the fastest growing swim and active wear brands in the U.S., and it’s supplying thousands of schools with gear for swim/water polo teams across the country.

Free Summer of Theatre at Saddleback

Summer of Theatre once again brings free live performances to Saddleback College. The Department of Theatre Arts presents Beauty and the Beast in Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8 and Saturday, July 9 on an outdoor stage in the upper campus quad at Saddleback College.
You can enjoy a night out under the stars with this gem of a show for the entire family, performed with a live orchestra and visuals.
Festival seating begins at 6 p.m., with areas available for blankets, low-back chairs, and high back chairs. Audiences will enjoy performances of such endearing songs such as Be Our Guest, Gaston, Something There and Beauty and the Beast.
The Summer of Theatre and music will continue with the Saddleback Big Band performance (including a CD release party with 99 year-old Shep Shepherd) on July 15; two Shakespeare performances of Othello and Cymbeline by Shakespeare by the Sea’s productions on July 16-17; and Little Shop of Horrors on July 22-23.
Admission is free, however, if you who don’t want to bring a blanket or sit on beach chairs, reserved seating is available at $25 per person (presale only). For reserved seats, call the ticket office at 949.582.4656 (Tues-Fri, noon to 4 p.m.).
You can bring a picnic dinner or enjoy food from several local food trucks including Beach Bus Bistro, Classic Tacos, a falafel truck called Falasophy, and two dessert trucks featuring ice cream and waffles.
