European Showcase Films and After Party Tonight

Tonight, the Newport Beach Film Fest celebrates its European Showcase films at The Triangle and after party at SOCO in Costa Mesa. The Swedish spotlight film, “Blowfly Park (Flugparken)” starts at 7:45 p.m. at The Triangle (repeat showing at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Island Cinema); the French Spotlight is “Love at First Fight” at 7 p.m. at The Triangle; the Italian Spotlight is “Do You Remember Me? (Ti Ricordi Di Me?)” at 7:15 p.m. at The Triangle; and the German Spotlight is “Who Am I – No System is Safe (Who Am I – Kein System ist sicher)” is at 7:30 p.m. at The Triangle.
Join the European Showcase Party celebrating the best in European filmmaking at SOCO in Costa Mesa, and co-hosted by PBS. The after party will feature top entertainment, hors d’oeuvres prepared by award-winning restaurants. There will be a hosted bar by Toto’s Vodka, Remy Cointreau and Stella Artois.
Cocktail attire recommended. Must be 21 and over to attend the party.
SOCO is at 3303 Hyland Ave. in Costa Mesa.
The film and party cost $45, party only $30, and film only $20.

Pacific Rim Showcase Films and After Party

Tonight, the Newport Beach Film Fest continues with its Pacific Rim Showcase films at Edwards Big Newport and after party at SOCO. The three films include the Korean Spotlight film, “A Hard Day” at 7:45 p.m. at Edwards Big Newport (repeat screening at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 30 at Edwards Big Newport): the Chinese Spotlight Film “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart 2” at 7:15 p.m. at Edwards Big Newport; and the Japanese Spotlight film, “Twilight: Saya in Sasara” at 7:30 p.m. at Edwards Big Newport (repeat screening at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 30 at Edwards Big Newport.
You can also join the Pacific Rim Showcase Party celebrating the best in Asian filmmaking at SOCO in Costa Mesa. The party features top entertainment and hors d’oeuvres prepared by award-winning Orange County restaurants. The bar is hosted by Tito’s Vodka, Remy Cointreau and Stella Artois.
