Feeling stressed out from work or life, and as a result suffer from aches and pains? We have a secret tip that we haven’t wanted to share for fear it will become too popular: we adore Olala Reflexology in Westminster.
This no frills reflexology studio is where you can go for a full body, deep tissue type massage for just $20 an hour. Here’s the thing: you’ll be in a room with a bunch of people, you’ll keep your clothes on, and some people fall asleep and snore, so there’s that.
The rest is heavenly. In one hour, they will massage your head, shoulders, arms, hands, calves and feet, shoulder blades and back. They can even crack your back so that you feel so much better. It’s best to wear yoga type pants, a tank top and shoes you can easily remove.
You’ll be expected to leave a tip, and it’s well deserved. They work hard. Call ahead to make a reservation and they stay open late—until 10 p.m. nightly, so it’s easy to get in.

Ziba Beauty specializes in threading, a non-invasive hair removal technique that expertly shapes eyebrows with cotton threads; and mehndi, the art of temporary henna tattoos. They do more: waxing, nails and skin care. We only know their threading services, and we love it. It’s pain free, takes minutes, and is more affordable; it costs just $12-$15.
You can also get in on their threading happy hour for $9 from 2-4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The catch is you have to book the appointment 24 hours in advance.
Trained threading specialists can shape your eyebrows in the most attractive way for your facial structure. Threading lasts as long as waxing, and it can remove other unwanted facial hair as well.
Open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
