09.29.16
Food enthusiasts will love AnQi at South Coast Plaza’s return of its monthly exclusive dining experience, GourMonday. It’s designed for an intimate group of connoisseurs up for a multi-course, one-of-a-kind food and wine adventure. The unique dining series take place at the Chef’s Table at AnQi at South Coast Plaza. The pre-sold dinners are limited to 18 guests.
On Monday, Oct. 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. the dinner theme is “Desde un Pueblo” and AnQi’s chefs will fuse notes of Aztecan, Mayan, Incan, and of course, Asian, flavors into each dish. You can view the menu here. You can reserve your seat here.
Each menu allows House of An chefs to create courses expressly for the evening and not available on AnQi menus. Themes range from the eclectic culture of street fare to progressive culinary styles.
Prices range from $170 to $225 per person, plus tax and gratuity. An exceptional offering will be the “100 Points” on March 6, 2017, where each wine served will have received a 100 point score from Wine Spectator or another respected wine rating critic. Dinner and wine pairings will be $1,500 per guest.

OCC Fall Plant Sale
09.29.16
The students at Orange Coast College's Horticulture Department have been busy growing succulents, veggies and perennials ideal for fall planting, for your garden. To support school programs, you can shop at OCC's fall plant sale on Friday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Horticulture Garden Nursery near the Adams Avenue parking lot.
OCC Horticulture Department propagates and sells nearly 3,000 plants, but popular varieties sell quickly, so arrive early. The fundraiser wouldn’t happen without the many volunteers, students and faculty.
Orange Coast College is at 2701 Fairview Road in Costa Mesa. For more information, call the plant sale hotline at 714.432.0202 or visit occhorticulture.com.
