Stoke a Student
02.13.14
Coastal Orange County’s luxury real estate firm, Arbor Real Estate just launched its “Stoke a Student” campaign in partnership with Surfside Sports in Costa Mesa. The program is aimed to inspire surf-loving students in the Newport Mesa area to value education and succeed in school.
Through June, Arbor Real Estate’s Stoke a Student contest at Surfside Sports will award a Hurley International surfboard to one lucky surf-loving elementary, junior high school, or high school student in the Newport-Mesa area each month via a drawing (no purchase necessary). The student whose name is drawn as the winner each month must show proof of having a B grade average (or better) over the past semester in order to be eligible.
“I have deep, lifelong roots in Newport Beach and a longtime love of surfing,” says Chris Brigandi, Founder and Principal of Arbor Real Estate. “Our company launched the Stoke a Student campaign to support and promote the importance of education as well as to celebrate the surf culture that makes our community one of the best places to live in the world.”

The Juice Pub of Choice
02.12.14
By Kelley Moody
Growl Juice Pub in Old Towne Orange is one of the newer additions to the plaza. It offers 100% organic juices, bowls, smoothies, and more. The offbeat design of the bar is welcoming and well complimented by the sugary and natural tastes inside.
The Circle Sunrise Bowl is a favorite at this sweet juice stop. Topped crispy flakes of coconut and fresh fruit, this bright snack will leave your mouth watering with its tangy pineapple aftertaste.
Other favorite drinks include the Green Gold juice, full of healthy veggies with a ripe taste, or the Panther’s Blood mixing a variety of rich flavors. Growl also offers a detox cleanse for $65 a day. Each purchase includes 8 bottles and is recommended for three to five days.
Open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
152 N Glassell St, Orange. 714.538.5338.
