Mutt’s Brings All-New Americana-style Brunch to Newport Beach
08.10.22
Mutt’s Eastbluff has reinvented its weekend brunch with all-new dishes and drinks. The Newport Beach hotspot loved by locals for its welcoming atmosphere, larger-than-life Schooners of beer, and eclectic-yet-approachable American cuisine has a new culinary team bringing savory eats, sweet treats, and lively morning libations to its popular weekend menus.
As residents of Eastbluff themselves, husband-and-wife owners Alex and Meghan Murray created Mutt’s to serve as a central gathering place for their community. Now in their second year, the duo continues to build upon their restaurant’s popularity and success with all-new offerings at brunch. Available Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m., Mutt’s now boasts a menu of reimagined brunch favorites.
Savory breakfast classics are given a fresh look with beautifully plated dishes including, Avocado Toast topped with cherry tomatoes, lemon pepper, and a drizzle of EVOO; Chilaquiles con Huevos tossed in green or red sauce with caramelized onions, cotija cheese, and guacamole; and a Smoked Salmon Benedict layered with sauteed spinach, hollandaise sauce, and a perfectly poached egg. Sweet offerings include cinnamon-sugar dusted Fun Buns, decadent French Toast topped with fresh seasonal berries, and fluffy stacks of Buttermilk Pancakes griddled with options including banana, chocolate chips, berries, and more.
In addition to its menu of breakfast classics, its brunch menu will also offer signature lunchtime dishes, including Mutt’s famous full-sized Pterodactyl Wings, flavor-forward salads, hearty burgers and sandwiches, and build-your-own pizzas available in three sizes.
Guests can look forward to a lively lineup of morning libations, including a Wake & Bake Old Fashioned with bourbon and cold brew, a Mutthound with vodka and grapefruit juice, and classics like the Espresso Martini, Aperol Spritz, and Bottomless Mimosas.
Tucked away in Newport Beach’s Eastbluff Village center, the restaurant has become both a local hotspot and a surprising secret haven for several celebrities. Regular David Spade even has a pizza named after his iconic comedy, Joe Dirt.
On the heels of its 2nd Anniversary in April, the restaurant was honored with the 2022 title of ‘Best Upscale Cocktail Bar’ in the LuxLife Restaurant & Bar Awards. Now, the Murrays eye expansion for additional locations in Orange County. Each Mutt’s location will celebrate its respective community with distinct decor and menu items that reflect unique elements of the town and its history.
Mutt’s is located in the Eastbluff Village Center (2531 Eastbluff Dr, Newport Beach, CA 92660) and is open 365 days a year from Monday - Friday from 11 a.m. - midnight and Saturday - Sunday beginning from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Dog Adoption Event at Mess Hall Market
08.08.22
Tustin’s chef-driven food hall– Mess Hall Market at FLIGHT--is partnering with local dog rescues and vendors to celebrate National Dog Month with an exciting Adoption Event on Saturday, August 20th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.!
In celebration of National Dog Month, the Dove Project will be bringing adoptable dogs for guests to meet at Mess Hall! The Dove Project is a non-profit organization that focuses on ending the dog meat trade in South Korea. Animal rescuers in South Korea rescue dogs from slaughterhouses, meat farms, and high-kill shelters and are provided with shelter, food, veterinary care, and forever homes in the U.S. In addition to The Dove Project, local rescues No Stray Left Behind & Ozzie and Friends Rescue will also be on-site with adoption opportunities.
Mess Hall will also be partnering with local, dog-friendly vendors for guests to spoil their pooch for National Dog Month. Guests can shop from a selection of dog themed-vendors that include recycled toys, pet treats, CBD oils, clothing & eco-friendly pet supplies. Tiller Tugs uses recycled fire hoses to create quality dog toys while raising funds for local rescue groups. Nibbs Club creates pet treats that are made with healthy, quality ingredients and no preservatives. Wonderfull works to provide CBD products for pets to support natural healing. Molly McB & Company crafts pet collars, slings, walking bags, and more pet accessories. Lil’ Archie’s creates eco-friendly pet products, like compostable dog waste bags and Eco-Bandanas. All of these vendors will be onsite at Mess Hall for guests to pick up items just for their dogs!
In addition to meeting rescues and exploring what the vendors have to offer, guests can also participate in a Pet Portrait Painting Class. The class is open to beginners or experienced painters, and Master Artist, Alexis Rivera will guide guests through every step of creating a beautiful masterpiece of your pup! Tickets for the painting class can be purchased on her website at paintingandvino.com.
Mess Hall Market is a pet-friendly location that has hosted multiple dog adoption events where pets have been able to find their forever homes. During the event, Mess Hall will be open so guests can fuel up with their favorite food and drinks while meeting some amazing, adoptable dogs!
