HABIT BURGER GRILL ADDS NEW LIMITED TIME BURGER

The Habit Burger Grill has added a limited time special to its menu: a Roasted Garlic Portabella Double Charburger. The burger, available August 19-October 6, fuses the flavors of two chargrilled beef patties with roasted portabella mushrooms, melted cheese, crisp lettuce, and juicy tomatoes, all between toasted garlic herb sourdough bread.

Chef Adam Baird, The Habit’s vice president of food & beverage and creator of the new Charburger says that “There is a rich, earthiness and great texture from the roasted portabella mushrooms that blends so well with the roasted garlic and our chargrilled beef. The portabella, and the toasted garlic sourdough, are what enhance our signature Charburger here.”

The Roasted Garlic Portabella Double Charburger is $5.95 and can be found at participating Habit Burger Grills

Suckling PIg Tacos and Beer Flights: HAVEN GASTROPUB Turns Six!

Six years down, many more good years to come. Today, Haven Gastropub in Old Towne Orange is celebrating its six year anniversary with a limited number of suckling pig tacos and beer combos from 4 to 6 p.m.

For $40, you'll be served a delicious meal of tacos alongside a tasting flight of eight of beers on tap. 

Haven is starting with the best tortillas handmade by award-winning chef Carlos Salgado of Taco Maria at SOCO in Costa Mesa. The tacos will be filled with roasted suckling pig rubbed with coarse salt and achiote. It's stuffed full of aromatics--fresh oregano and citrus fruit-- then roasted until the skin gets super crispy, and chopped and piled on top of freshly pressed tortillas. 

On the side, enjoy a heaping of refried beans, avocado salsa, roasted tomato salsa, house hot sauce, oregano pickled onions, fresh cilantro, cotija cheese, and fried pig ears tossed in salsa verde. Choose eight of the incredible beers on tap, and you'll get a tasting pour of each to sniff, sip, and enjoy!
