Smashburger Opens
11.20.12
Smashburger, the self-proclaimed “better burger” restaurant is opening its first Orange County location today in the food court at the Shops at Mission Viejo on Wednesday, Dec. 5, in Aliso Viejo. You can create your own juicy burger or enjoy one of Smashburger’s innovative signature recipes, along with a Haagen-Dazs shakes, sides and special menu items like the OC Smashburger, a 100-percent Angus Beef burger topped with grilled sautéed mushrooms, grilled onions, baby arugula, aged Swiss cheese and truffle mayo on an egg bun.
Their “secret” is in the “smash,” a fresh Angus beef that’s smashed on a 400-degree flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. Each burger is served on a toasted artisan bun and topped fresh greens, cheeses, and high quality sauces, You can also order marinated grilled or crispy chicken sandwiches, grilled and split hot dogs, and signature salads, along with sides like rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries, fried pickles, haystack onions, and veggie frites (carrot sticks and green beans).
Smashburger is at 555 The Shops at Mission Viejo, and soon at 26541 Aliso Creek Rd. (next to Trader Joe’s) in Aliso Viejo.
