It’s Time for your Trunk

07.30.13

By Jonathan Formica

I've always dreaded shopping - not because I actually dislike the act but because nothing ever fits. I'm nearly 6' 5" and could actually add a few pounds. Good luck trying to get even a simple dress shirt to fit me properly. That's why I was delighted when I found out about Trunk Club Men's Outfitters.

Simply put, Trunk Club provides you with a personal stylist. They talk with you, learn about your tastes, and then ship a trunk of clothing tailored to your likes. You just try everything on, ship back what you don't like, and just like that you're one of the best dressed guys in the room.

Even better is the price of the service... free. There are no shipping fees and the prices are on par with what you would find at a high-end department store. Granted, their selection is a bit on the pricier side but the service is one of a kind.

If you're ever in the Chicago area - make a point to stop by their flagship warehouse in the heart of downtown. I stopped by on a recent business trip and met my personal stylist, Jodi Frank. After offering me a drink from their open bar, she guided me through a number of options she personally selected for me. After I left, she unexpectedly connected me with the manger of a nearby local hot spot and let's just say dinner was fantastic. This is just one of the many examples of how Trunk Club meets and exceeds expectations.

I might not dread shopping anymore.
