At L.A.’s premier travel event, the 16th annual Los Angeles Times Travel Show on Saturday and Sunday at the Los Angeles Convention Center you can visit hundreds of exhibitors and learn about exciting destinations as well as how to make the most of your travel budget, savor international cuisine, discover the latest travel tips and learn from world-class speakers travel experts.
At the LA Travel Show you can also book trips at show-only discounts, and trip giveaways are offered all weekend. Guest speakers, Alyssa Milano, Adam Richman, Henry Rollins and Arthur Frommer will share stories and travel tips to help make your next trip even better. Tickets cost $8 in advance (with code Travel2014) or $10 at the door; children ages 16 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets and info at latimes.com/travelshow.

One of A Kind Lifestyle Store

Shop local at Transformations, a new hybrid lifestyle store in Long Beach stocked with high-end estate pieces (some from celeb and designer homes), original artwork, one-of-a-kind vintage movie posters, handmade jewelry, handcrafted fountains and home furnishings. Some of its merchandise can be viewed here.
Transformations is also offering free meditation classes on Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. plus some other life-enhancing workshops such as painting and intro to Feng Shui. The complete calendar is here.
