Red Carpet Club Screening ‘Foxcatcher’
11.12.14
The Orange County Film Society’s Red Carpet Club is inviting members to an exclusive, advanced screening of the critically acclaimed “Foxcatcher” tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Lido Live Theater.
It’s easy to join the Red Carpet Club, and as a member you will invited to all regular OCFS screenings and events, as well as at least 6 additional, exclusive, limited audience screenings per year of your membership. You will also be invited to private hosted receptions prior to select screenings, and other exclusive events throughout the year.
Membership to the OCFS Red Carpet Club costs $229 per person, or $99 to upgrade from an existing OCFS General Membership (membership fees will be prorated according to General Membership renewal dates).
The film’s synopsis from Rotten Tomatoes: “Foxcatcher” tells the story of Olympic Gold Medal-winning wrestler Mark Schultz ( Channing Tatum), who sees a way out from the shadow of his more celebrated wrestling brother Dave (Mark Ruffalo) and a life of poverty when he is summoned by eccentric multi-millionaire John du Pont (Steve Carell) to move onto his estate and train for the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Desperate to gain the respect of his disapproving mother, du Pont begins "coaching" a world-class athletic team and, in the process, lures Mark into dangerous habits, breaks his confidence and drives him into a self-destructive spiral.
Lido Live Theater is at 3459 Via Lido in Newport Beach.
