Summer Menu Unveiled at Farmhouse

Farmhouse at Roger’s Gardens just unveiled a new summer menu created by Executive Chef/owner Rich Mead. It features new dishes highlighting the freshest produce and flavors of the season, as well as a new off-menu, highly curated cheese program. It’s a perfect place to dine in Orange County, with spanning views of the beautiful gardens and Chef Mead’s renowned farm to fork cuisine.

The full summer menu is also offered in the Farmhouse bar, which features four refreshing new summer cocktails, hand-crafted by Anthony Laborin, head of Cocktail R&D.

Highlights from the new menu include the Farmhouse Market Salad, with peaches, persian cucumber, heirloom cherry tomatoes, radish, mixed lettuces, pistachios, flame raisins, goat cheese, basil, balsamic vinaigrette; the Farmhouse Vegetable Plate with grilled corn, summer squash and Tehachapi Grain Project farro, blistered green beans with heirloom cherry tomatoes and garlic, chipotle braised greens, fried shishito pepper, grilled peach chutney; and a Seared Albacore Salad with heirloom cherry tomato and olive tapenade, heirloom tomatoes, green beans, sweet onions, nicoise olives, capers, hard-boiled egg, pee wee potatoes, dijon vinaigrette. And, a Panko Crusted Icelandic Cod with creamy Tehachapi Grain Project farro, green beans, grilled summer squash, spinach, basil pesto,
roasted heirloom cherry tomato & olive tapenade.

Dessert choices include Regier Farms Peach Crisp with brown sugar and oat topping, vanilla bean ice cream, and caramel sauce; Grilled Satsumaimo Sweet Potato and Ginger Poundcake 

Pudwill Farms berries, sweet cream, toasted pistachios; and a Farmers Market Fruit Tart with vanilla bean ice cream.

Open daily for lunch 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; open for dinner 5 p.m. to closing.

Dana Point's darling restaurant, Coastal Kitchen is now offering an extended happy hour, Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., where guests can enjoy an array of sips and small bites, all for under $10. Cool down with a cocktail (or two) as you munch on roasted red pepper hummus, pork belly bites or the crowd-favorite chef’s daily tacos. Coastal Kitchen offers a diverse menu featuring seafood, farm-fresh salads, sandwiches and premium dry-aged steaks

The Southern California inspired restaurant is now open every day at 11:30 am, serving signature lunch items such as the classic Tuna Melt, Cheeseburger, and the Fried Brie Salad featuring crispy garbanzo beans, grapes, Granny Smith apples and agave-madras vinaigrette.

FLY-N-FISH OYSTER BAR - NEWPORT BEACH

There is no better way to enjoy happy hour than while taking in the sweet salty ocean breeze and people watching on the bustling boardwalk of Newport Beach. Fly-n-Fish Oyster Bar on the Balboa Peninsula recently debuted new happy hour specials in celebration of summer. Ways & Means Oyster House recently debuted its new happy hour, called 5 for 5, where guests can enjoy $5 booze and bites, Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Highlights from the menu include signature Fish & Shrimp Tacos, Roasted Oysters, Sweet & Spicy Pan-Roasted Wings, Burger Sliders and Battered Jumbo Shrimp.
