07.18.18

The community is invited to an evening of education, empowerment and healing for breast cancer survivors on Wednesday, July 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Patty & George Hoag Cancer Center Auditorium. A panel of experts will share critical information in their area of expertise and answer questions on a variety of related topics. This program, made possible with the help of philanthropic support, will empower women with tools and lifestyle changes to modify their risk and may help prevent a new cancer.

Moderated by Dr. Sadia Khan, breast surgical oncologist and program advisor to Hoag Breast Surgical Services, this event will create a supportive and accessible educational series to help women transition from survivors to thrivors and encourage them to live their healthiest lifestyle. Refreshments will be served, and complimentary oncology massages will be available from 5 - 5:30 p.m. (space is limited).

Featured topics:

Sex and Intimacy After Breast Cancer Treatment with Stephanie Buehler, PsyD, CST-S, licensed psychologist and certified sex therapist.
