Pacific Hideaway Coming Soon to HB

01.30.17

Huntington Beach’s SoCal-flavored Zimzala Restaurant & Bar at the Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel just closed to make room for island-inspired eatery Pacific Hideaway that will open in April.

Pacific Hideaway will be a modern American restaurant with Asian roots, celebrating island flavors of Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Japan.

The menu, created by Executive Chef JT Walker, will feature small, colorful plates—from sushi rice cakes with ahi tuna poke, to fried avocado tacos with tamarind and chiles–and larger plates, such whole Mexican-beer-can chicken, served with salsas, tortillas, and other accoutrements.

Pacific Hideaway’s signature statement pieces will include roll-up garage doors, a large hand-carved bar depicting ocean waves, an expansive patio and lounge and beautiful views of Huntington Beach Pier and the Pacific Ocean.

Its goal is to be ‘the place to be’ for the best regional and international brews and cocktails. The bar menu will also incorporate central coast wine, sake, and cocktails utilizing ingredients from global coastlines, such as the Captain Barbosa with Lustau Sherry, Ron Zacapa 23-year aged rum, Ancho Reyes, cinnamon-demerara syrup, and black walnut bitters.

During the renovation, guests can enjoy a few dishes from Chef JT Walker’s menu and select drinks on the patio.

Pacific Hideaway will at Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel at 500 Pacific Coast Hwy., in Huntington Beach.
