McFadden Public Market—DTSA’s Newest Food and Arcade Hall

04.14.17

Orange County restaurateur Leonard Chan of The Iron Press, Hatch, Cal Shabu, and Shuck Oyster Bar, along with his partner Phillip Kwan of Mama Musubi, just opened McFadden Public Market, a new food hall that boasts an array of vintage arcade games in Downtown Santa Ana. Under one roof, McFadden offers four one-of-a-kind eateries, craft cocktails and beers from two bars, and nostalgic activities.

You’ll want to arrive hungry, you can enjoy addicting fried chicken from Rooster Republic (served with their signature White BBQ and Hot Honey sauce), spring rolls (stuffed with, wait for it---egg rolls!) and pho from Bone Stock, fusion-style tacos, nachos and more from En Tu Boca, and let’s not forget about dessert! You can indulge in housemade ice creams at Milk Man, including original flavors like PB&J, Banana Pudding and more.

McFadden offers an upstairs '80s themed arcade bar, Mission Control where with a drink in one hand and a joystick in the other, you’ll find it’s easy to watch the time slip away here, as you're having flashbacks to the'80s and all your favorite arcade games are once again in reach.

At the downstairs bar, Under Control, you can enjoy a craft cocktail such as the ‘Fernet Colada’ (owner Leonard Chan’s personal favorite) or the ‘Brave New World’ (a surprisingly drinkable bourbon and lemon juice creation).

The market is open daily 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (*with the exception of McFadden’s upstairs arcade bar, Mission Control, which will host more common late night hours). During these operating hours.

McFadden Public Market is at 515 N Main. in Santa Ana.
