Slapfish Offers Thanksgiving Morning Special to Those in Need

As Thanksgiving approaches, Slapfish in Huntington Beach continues to give back to the community and charitable causes, including extending special offers to those who are unemployed or in need. On Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 26, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the flagship location of Slapfish in Huntington Beach will offer a free breakfast sandwich or breakfast burrito to anyone who needs one. In addition, the casual sustainable seafood restaurant is accepting donations in any amount for Save The Brave, a non-profit organization that provides stress management and other support to veterans recovering from PTSD.

Since the Coronavirus outbreak started, Slapfish in Huntington Beach has extended its Kids Eat Free promotion to seven days a week, provided free lunch to 90 teachers in Huntington Beach, and has offered other specials to families in need.

Slapfish is a fast-casual restaurant offering a chef-driven menu of fresh, high-quality, and sustainable seafood.

The restaurant is located at 19696 Beach Blvd., in Huntington Beach.

Selanne Steak Tavern Three-Course Thanksgiving Feast

Selanne Steak Tavern continues its holiday tradition of serving a memorable gourmet Thanksgiving feast with its three-course menu Thursday, November 26 from noon to 8 p.m. Chef Vince Terusa’s Thanksgiving menu is composed of three tempting traditional courses with choices accompanied by straight-from-the-farm sides served family style.

Entrée choices include Mary’s Farm Heritage Turkey slow roasted breast with house cranberry and marsala jus, Vermont maple-glazed Kurobuta Leg of Ham with Smith apple celery root puree, or American Prime Ribeye Roast with cabernet jus. For the table innovative sides are Roasted Acorn Squash with pickled cranberry, Duck Fat-Fried Brussels Sprouts, French and Romano Bean Casserole with porcini cream, Baby Carrots in lavender honey and Laura Chenel goat cheese, Yukon potato puree with Phoenician olive oil and chives and Brioche stuffing with winter fruits and candied walnuts.

The sweet ending of this memorable meal is either Maple Chocolate Pecan Bar or Creamy Pumpkin Tart.
