First Radisson Blu Hotel Opens On The West Coast
08.25.21
Radisson Blu Anaheim makes its debut as the first-ever Radisson Blu hotel on the West Coast. In 2009, Radisson Hotel Group launched the upper-upscale Radisson Blu brand, which offers meaningful experiences, stylish spaces, and thoughtful details throughout.
The Anaheim hotel’s location is ideally situated just four blocks away from Disneyland and minutes from the Honda Center and Angel Stadium, offering guests ample options for dining, entertainment, sporting events, and more.
The 326-room hotel delivers a one-of-a-kind experience with three new distinct food and beverage offerings, two outdoor heated pools - one being an adults-only, a stunning 12th story rooftop, and thoughtful art elements throughout.
The property showcases international design and art inspired by the elegance of Southern California and the essence of outdoor living through breezy, light, and bright features.
The 326-room hotel features 136 rooms with bunk beds ideal for family stays or groups up to six guests, as well as 40 pairs of connecting rooms and 20 suites with corner views. The bunk bed guestrooms feature a bright, joyful color palette while the other rooms feature the subtler tones found in a Southern California sunset.
Radisson Blu Anaheim also boasts two outdoor heated pools. The Oasis ground pool features a whirlpool, splash pad, and cabanas for family-fun while the adults-only rooftop pool provides a more sophisticated atmosphere with picturesque views and cozy lounge furniture. A fitness center, laundry service, electric car charging stations, and complimentary Wi-Fi complete the “home away from home” experience.
The food and beverage program at the hotel is led by Executive Chef Edgar Beas and Food & Beverage Director Daniel Rivera. BluSky Restaurant & Bar, which is located on the 12th-floor rooftop provided spectacular views where guests can enjoy SoCal’s year-round beautiful weather as well as an exhibition kitchen, fire pits, a private dining area, and the famous Disneyland nightly firework show.
Acclaimed Orange Country food critic, Brad Johnson, called BluSky Restaurant & Bar “the best restaurant to open in Anaheim in years” via The Orange County Register. Chef Beas takes inspiration from his experience cooking in Spain’s Basque Country to create a playful yet familiar take on Spanish dishes with an effortlessly cool craft cocktail program to pair.
The Oasis Pool Bar offers dedicated poolside service with a limited menu featuring fresh Californian light fare, cocktails, beer, wine, and luxury cabanas with VIP service.
Coming soon on August 30, 2021, is FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar, a signature concept of Radisson Blu properties in the U.S., centers around live-fire cooking and locally sourced produce to showcase the bounty of Southern California.
With a total capacity of over 200 seats, FireLake features nearly 50 outdoor seats inspired by the Star Wars Tie Fighter Ships. Diners will also find hanging art throughout the restaurant that features color palettes from iconic Disney movies such as The Lion King, Cinderella, Aladdin, and The Little Mermaid.
Radisson Blu Anaheim is located at 1601 S. Anaheim Blvd. For reservations and more information, visit radissonhotels.com.
