Kick Off the Holidays at VEA Newport Beach’s Festive Celebrations!

Join the 3rd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting on Thursday, November 21st, at 5:30 p.m. for a heartwarming evening filled with hot cocoa, sweet treats, live entertainment, and magical Santa sightings! Bring the family for a cozy, festive night that’s open to both resort guests and the local community. With no reservations required and complimentary valet parking, it's a holiday event you won’t want to miss.
For those 21 and over, VEA’s Holiday Hideout returns on Friday, November 15th!
This chic, winter wonderland lounge puts a seasonal twist on a classic speakeasy, featuring festive cocktails and plenty of festive moments. The Holiday Hideout will be open every Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. - 12 a.m., plus on the night of the tree lighting from 5 p.m. onward.

Honor and Celebration: Veterans Day at the Queen Mary

This Veterans Day, the iconic Queen Mary in Long Beach will honor the nation's heroes with a day of celebration dedicated exclusively to veterans, active-duty military personnel, and their families, offering free admission on Monday, November 11, from 10 AM to 6 PM. The ship will host special programming and family-friendly activities to commemorate and celebrate their service.
Attendees can enjoy exclusive meet-and-greets with the ship’s Captain and officers, craft letters for active troops, participate in arts and crafts, and listen to inspiring stories from fellow veterans. The day’s patriotic activities will include Game Time with the USO Girls, along with live entertainment by the Lucky Lindy’s, GI Boys, and a tribute to The Andrews Sisters, among others.
With complimentary admission, veterans and active-duty military personnel can explore self-guided tours of exhibits, including the Churchill Exhibit, Engine Room, Ship Model Gallery, The Wheelhouse, and The Shipyard. For those seeking to elevate their Veterans Day experience, upgrades are available, such as guided tours, dining at the ship’s restaurants, retail shopping, and drinks at the iconic Observation Bar.
