Corona del Mar’s Popular Meet & Greet Returns
09.16.22
The fourth Meet & Greet for residents of Corona del Mar and surrounding neighborhoods will be held in person this year on Sunday, Oct. 16, at Sherman Gardens following a two-year hiatus, featuring food, live entertainment, contests, games, and mingling with neighbors.
This popular community event will begin at 3 p.m. and continue to 6 p.m. with proceeds benefiting Sherman Library & Gardens, considered a community treasure. With a ticket price of just $10 (kids under 10 are free), organizers promise to deliver a memorable afternoon celebrating our neighbors and our beautiful neighborhoods.
The $10 ticket for adults (children under 10 are free) is all-inclusive for food, live entertainment, a no-host bar, the new pie contest, lawn games, prizes, “meet the candidates,” and fun times with neighbors.
Community partners sponsoring this event include CDM Residents’ Association, the CDM Chamber of commerce, and Sherman Gardens, which is providing the use of its beautiful 2.2-acre botanic garden.
The new pie contest is an opportunity for amateur bakers to impress their neighbors and win prizes with winners selected by celebrity judges. Everyone attending also wins, as the pies will be enjoyed by all.
Purchase tickets online at cdmchamber.com/. Adult tickets are $10 until Sept. 30, 2022, and $15 after. Children under 10 are free.

Eco Now and Packing District presents 2nd Annual Mother Earth Market
09.16.22
For the second year, a neighborhood zero-waste shop, Eco Now, will team up with Anaheim’s historic Packing District to host “Mother Earth Market,” (MEM) a mindfulness event, along the shady boardwalk and green at Farmers Park on Saturday, September 17, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Loaded with free events, the day will begin with a community clean-up organized by Green Bird Anaheim at 9 a.m., starting at Center Street’s Eco Now, and landing at the event site within Farmers Park. Volunteers who join the flash mob will receive a stamp redeemable for deals at local merchants including Eco Now and ADYA.
Early birds can partake in a complimentary yoga class at 10 a.m. by legendary vinyasa flow instructor, Kumi Yogini, to set the tone of mindfulness before a full lineup of music, classes, and workshops. The vendor village will be open 11 a.m.-4 p.m., where people can shop for eco-friendly products, ask questions about zero-waste living and even learn about vermicomposting. A clothing swap and Q&A with local business, Everywhere, will highlight the day as means to provide sustainable solutions and education on fashion consumerism.
To register for workshops and classes, visit Mother Earth Market online, anaheimpackingdistrict.com/motherearthmarket.
