RANCHO CAPISTRANO WINERY opening at MERCANTILE WEST
03.18.21
The award-winning Rancho Capistrano Winery will open a third Orange County location in early fall at Mercantile West overlooking the picturesque Town Green, considered to be the heart of Ladera Ranch.
Rancho Capistrano Winery is Orange County’s largest winery. They currently offer over 40 different wines under their own label from top wine regions of Paso Robles, Napa Valley, Lodi and Walla Walla, Washington.
Equally renowned for their delicious American menu, the restaurant has been honored with 40 Best of San Juan Awards as well as several Taste of San Juan Awards. Executive Chef Adrian de la Torre will oversee the menu which will feature several award-winning dishes as well as a few new specialties only available at the Ladera Ranch location.
"Many of our guests at the San Juan Capistrano location are from Ladera Ranch, and it isn’t uncommon to have an hour or more wait there and San Clemente,” said owner Kyle Franson. “We’re excited to expand into Ladera with a larger restaurant and patio, which will provide space for more special events and dining opportunities.”
“The larger kitchen will also allow our Chef to create more exciting dishes,” Franson noted that the Ladera Ranch location will serve lunch and dinner daily, and brunch on Saturday and Sunday. The new restaurant will also have live entertainment, a popular draw for the San Juan Capistrano location.
Franson established Rancho Capistrano Winery in 2012, leaving a career in finance to pursue his passion of food, wine, and entertaining. He opened the first location in San Juan Capistrano in 2014, and the San Clemente location followed in early 2020.
Rancho Capistrano Winery will be located at 25682 Crown Valley Parkway, off Antonio, in Ladera Ranch. For more information about Rancho Capistrano Winery, visit ranchocapwinery.com.
