1. If you had to begin a different career, what would you do?
College Radio Station Faculty Director/Advisor.
2. What’s your most prized possession?
iMac computer.
3. Favorite drink?
I am not a big drinker. If pressed: mojito/vodka collins/red wine.
4. What are you cutting out because of the economy?
Becoming too reliant on credit cards and getting into debt.
5. Fantasy purchase?
Some day I aspire to own (purchase) my own radio station.
6. What can’t you live without?
Movies, coffee, and art for inspiration.
7. What’s next on your “to do” list?
Networking more in the music community and taking my radio show “Revolution Radio” to the next level.
8. Biggest regret?
I would like to travel more.
9. Cause that you’re most interested/involved in?
KOCI non-profit, community radio station and its cause: Star Tree Foundation for children and vets.
10. Your dream day in OC?
Probably walking around Laguna Beach or trekking around Balboa Island/Newport Peninsula and taking the ferry. I love being near the water.
11. Favorite place for breakfast?
Plum’s or Haute Cakes in Newport Beach.
12. What was the best day of your life?
Today, I believe every day above ground is a gift.
13. Last concert that you went to?
Seeing one of my musical idols, Tom Freund, who knocked my socks off at the Getty Center a couple of years ago perform live for me at KOCI during my show Revolution Radio.
14. Favorite vacation spot?
Hawaii
15. What do you love and hate about Orange County?
I love the O.C.’s laid-back attitude, my family lives here and it’s easy to find parking spaces. I miss Los Angeles’ vibrancy, culture, art, music, and trends.
16. Favorite books?
“Music Lust” by Nic Harcourt. “We Got The Neutron Bomb: The Untold Story of L.A. Punk” by Marc Spitz. “Less Than Zero” by Bret Easton Ellis and “Mark Ryden” coffee table book featuring my favorite artist Mark Ryden.
17. Favorite restaurants in Orange County?
118 Degrees, Au Lac, Kitayama, Mosun, Zov’s.
18. Biggest accomplishment?
Getting hired as a radio programmer working for digital cable Radio Company Digital Planet in 1990. (Way before the XM and Sirius satellite radios of the world.)
19. What’s your biggest fear?
Losing my sense of humor.
20. Secret most people don’t know about you.
God is my DJ.

Boat Parade Tours

Here’s a great tip for you about the upcoming Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. Rubber Duck Tours, an OC-based amphibious touring company, will be offering parking, transportation, and a prime viewing spot aboard the Rubber Duck this Wednesday through Sunday. The boat will leave promptly at 6 p.m., will cruise the harbor - holiday tunes, blankets, and some beverages will be provided (BYOB is also encouraged) and will return by 8:30 p.m. $45 per person.
