Morrissey Performing You Are The Quarry at Honda Center in Anaheim
01.12.24
Marking the 20th anniversary of his renowned album "You Are The Quarry," Morrissey is set to delight fans with two exclusive Southern California performances this January. These special concerts, featuring the entire album plus a selection of beloved hits, will be held at the Honda Center in Anaheim on Friday, Jan. 26, and at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Saturday, Jan. 27. These shows are unique, as they will be the only ones where the album is played in full globally. Joining as a special guest is She Wants Revenge.
Tickets for both events are available via Ticketmaster.com.
Morrissey's impact and legacy in music are undeniable. Celebrated as one of the most pivotal and gifted lyricists in contemporary music, he boasts thirteen solo studio albums, numerous No.1 hits, and the prestigious Ivor Nostello Award for his Outstanding Contribution to British Music.
Pitchfork praises "You Are The Quarry" for its captivating blend of paradoxes, media provocations, dark humor, and genuine emotional depth, calling it “the most entertaining and lushly melodic work of Morrissey's solo career, one of the most distinct personalities in Western pop culture…”
As the iconic frontman of The Smiths, Morrissey significantly influenced the music scene with just four albums. His solo career further cements his status, resonating as one of the most revered voices over the past forty years. The Smiths' debut single “Hand In Glove” revolutionized the music world 40 years ago, paving the way for a rich songbook that includes classics like “This Charming Man,” “How Soon Is Now?,” “There Is A Light That Never Goes Out,” “Suedehead,” “Everyday Is Like Sunday,” “Irish Blood, English Heart,” “First of the Gang to Die,” and many more.
2695 E Katella Ave, Anaheim.
