We Love Smoked Turkeys for Thanksgiving!
11.20.10
By Joanne Tucker
The Thanksgiving holiday may be fun, but it can also be full of stress when you’re in charge cooking, serving and cleaning.
Here’s a solution to ease your mind for a relaxed and carefree Thanksgiving dinner party without cooking the old bird.
Every year, we order up a deliciously smoked barbecue turkey from Beach Pit BBQ. The succulent turkeys are rubbed with a Southern spice mixture and then smoked on premises for up to 12 hours in a special blend of hickory and pecan wood. Plus, the bird comes with Beach Pit’s proprietary barbecue sauce and turkey gravy.
This year, Beach Pit BBQ offers two sizes of smoked turkeys. You can order a 10-14 lb. turkey (serves 10-15 guests) for $49.99 or a 20-24 lb. turkey (serves 20-25 guests) for $79.99. Each order comes with barbecue sauce and gravy.
Perhaps you’re tired of putting on the holiday spread and wish for a complete down-home, pre-cooked Thanksgiving dinner? No problem! For the holidays, each Beach Pit BBQ also offers trays of four sides (candied yams, mashed potatoes, blueberry cornbread stuffing, green beans with bacon) that costs $25 each and serves 20+ guests.
BUT HURRY! Your last day to order your turkey(s) and sides is Sunday, November 21. (Pick up time is 10:00 a.m.-noon on Thanksgiving Day.)
