Got jewelry on the brain this holiday season? So do I, that's why my holiday wish list includes everything from Robert Palazzolo's line RJP Designs.
I've known Robert for many years, when he came out with his eponymous jewelry line it wasn't a big surprise, I'd been waiting a long time for it. His career started in the international emerald trade, where he worked with high end jewelers as an importer of Colombia emeralds; with an appreciation for the intrinsic beauty of precious stones he quickly added rubies, sapphires and eventually pearls to his repertoire.
When he started his line in 2005 Robert was dead set on doing it his way, on his own terms, no cookie cutter pieces that anyone can make or buy. That's what I love most about these hand crafted designs, they're all one of a kind radiant beauties, made from the finest natural leathers, metals in 14 carat gold and sterling silver, Swarovski Crystals and gemstones from exotic places like: Siberia, Brazil, Thailand and Afghanistan.

Eyes for Fendi!

Eyesite Optometry in Newport Coast is hosting a Fendi eyewear trunk show Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. The evening will include Fendi’s 2012 eyewear and accessories, informal modeling, a DJ, Champagne and hors d’oeuvres. Guests at the event will also be included in drawings for Fendi sunglasses.
Eyesite Optometry is owned by a father and son doctor team, Sy and David Rosenblum, who use the state-of-the-art technologies in optics, dry eye treatment, and contact lenses.
Eyesite also carries an extensive collection of designer eyewear and sunglasses including Cartier, Chrome Hearts, Chanel, Tom Ford, Gucci, Persol, Juicy Couture, Bvlgari, Giorgio Armani, Oliver Peoples, and Oakley. And for children and tweens, there’s a “kids only” movie room with hundreds of designer glasses and sunglasses. Eyesite will fill optical prescriptions from other doctors too.
Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
