Quality Sandwiches at the District
10.29.12
Finally, you can taste Capriotti’s award-winning sandwiches at its first Orange County location that just opened at The District at Tustin Legacy. More than 30 years ago the first family-owned Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop opened in Delaware, and they’re still serving its nationally acclaimed, the Bobbie fresh roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and mayo; and our favorite, the Capastrami with hot pastrami, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing, and cole slaw; or a SlawBeJoe with roast beef, provolone cheese, Russian dressing, and cole Slaw.
You can’t go wrong with its cold subs too. We recommend the Homemade Turkey Fresh slow roasted, pulled turkey; or homemade roast beef with a secret pulled roast beef recipe, slow roasted to perfection. All subs come with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and seasonings, and you can add pickles, crushed peppers, sweet peppers, mayonnaise, mustard, or oil.
Open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The District at Tustin Legacy 2487 Park Ave. in Tustin.

Spooky Sushi Party
10.29.12
Looking for the right spot to celebrate Halloween? RA Sushi is hosting Boo Bash parties from 7 p.m. to close at its Huntington Beach and
Tustin locations. Enjoy some freakish fun with food and drink specials like the Voodoo Crispy Chicken and Grape Ghoulade and a fantastic costume contest with beats spinning all night long. The first place costume winner will go home with a $100 RA gift certificate, and for second place, a $25 RA gift certificate.
During the events, enjoy a variety of “Boo Bites,” including Voodoo Crispy Chicken: crispy chicken, sautéed with onion, green pepper and Japanese pumpkin; tossed in a sesame chili sauce ($6); Vampire Shrimp: lightly battered spicy shrimp and shishito peppers tossed with Japanese pumpkin, ramen noodles and chili sauce; served in a crispy lettuce cup ($8); and the Spider Roll: tempura battered Japanese pumpkin, crispy soft shell crab, kaiware sprouts, kani kama crab mix rolled in rice and soy paper; topped with shredded daikon; served with spicy mayo and eel sauce ($10).
RA’s “Potent Potions” include Grape Ghoulade with Three Olives Grape Vodka, blue curacao, cranberry and fresh lemon; the Sinners Sangria mixed with red wine, fruit juice, and a large dose of Satan's elixir (sake); the Frozen Swampwater, a spine tingling blend of sparkling white wines, Cruzan Rum, yuzu, peach and strawberry purée; and the Berry Bloody, with Bacardi Dragonberry, strawberry purée, fresh lemon juice, Japanese Yuzu, and a splash of soda. The Potent Potions cost $8 each.
