‘Here’s Johnny’ NY Style Pizzas

Johnny’s Real New York Pizza is opening its second location (it’s flagship is in Corona del Mar on the Coast Highway) at The Bluffs shopping center in Newport Beach and celebrating with a fun family event this Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. Owner John Younesi’s namesake restaurant specializes in true New York style pizza that he remembers from his youth growing up in Queens, NY.
Stop by and sample a variety of Johnny’s pizza (six signature pizzas, including the Solattzo (fresh mushrooms, olives, onions, bell peppers, artichokes, mozzarella and tomato sauce), the Andolini (housemade meatballs, Genoa salami, sweet Italian sausage, fresh herbs, mozzarella and tomato sauce), the Fontaine (pepperoni, mozzarella and tomato sauce) and others, as well as an array of fresh toppings to create your own New York pie) as well as their signature garlic knots and cinnamon knots, enjoy entertainment by local saxophonist Gary King; cheerleaders and band members from Corona del Mar High School; a balloon artist and face painter; a special appearance by the Newport Beach Fire Department; and giveaways throughout the event.
Visitors will have the opportunity to win Johnny’s Real New York Pizza t-shirts and hats, as well as numerous $10 gift cards. In addition, one lucky winner will receive one free large pizza of their choice each week for a year.
Johnny’s at The Bluffs is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday; and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. 1320 Bison Avenue, at MacArthur Blvd., in Newport Beach. Antiquing for Oklahoma Disaster Relief

The Oklahoma disaster relief via the American Red Cross will be the non-profit beneficiary of this month’s Orange County Antique Market on Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the OC Market Place in Costa Mesa. More than 75 antique vendor will be there, plus you’ll receive an entry to the Orange County Market Place with nearly 1,000 vendors. $2 per person – children 12 and under are free. Available at the door.
OC Fair & Event Center is at 88 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa.
