Fall Into Fashion

Personal stylist and founder of Gladstone L&C, Lori Gladstone will host an informational fashion event today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Aris on the Coast in Laguna Beach.
Gladstone will share tips and tricks for transitioning wardrobes between climate and seasons. Bringing a mix of her personal experience with an impressive professional background in the fashion industry working with brands such as Calvin Klein and Donna Karan New York, Gladstone will go over the rules for fall.
Guests will get complimentary style handouts, drinks and sweets, as well as have a chance to get an individual consultations and shopping assistance.
“I chose three designer collections to focus on for fall transition and feature at the event,” said Gladstone. “Nili Lotan for her pure and sophisticated philosophy, Helmut Lang for his bold cuts and minimalistic designs with an edgy elegance, and rag&bone for their truly functional fashion apparel.”
Doors will be open 4-8 p.m. Guests can enter opportunity drawings to win prizes. 20 percent of all sales will benefit Heel2Heals OC/CHOC Children’s Teen Room, which promotes healing and education for underprivileged, critically-ill, abused women and children.

Misty May-Treanor Sports Complex

The Misty May-Treanor Sports Center in Irvine is celebrating a sneak peek open house tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. You can come meet 3-time Olympic Gold Medalist Misty May-Treanor, the Entire MMTSC Coaching Staff, and there will be a DJ, door prizes, beverages and snacks.
The incredible MMTSC features 22 indoor volleyball courts, 21 indoor basketball courts, and 21 indoor futsal courts that will be used to organize world class youth and adult club programs and sports leagues.
The center also boasts a state-of-the-art Pro-Shop sporting the latest in athletic apparel, a restaurant where up to 400 visitors can escape the noise, relax and watch television on any of the space’s 10 high-definition TV’s.
Athletes who want to take their game to the next level will also be able to take advantage of the MMTSC’s cutting-edge weight training and plyometric programs being headed up by PlyoCity, a nationally-recognized training company.
Open for court rentals from noon to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
