Red Dress Gala
02.12.15
By Kelley Moody
With Valentine's Day around the corner, it's time to think about more than just your sweet tooth and consider your healthy heart!
Chapman University's Alpha Phi Sorority will hold their 11th Annual Red Dress Gala at Hotel Maya's newly constructed, gorgeous outdoor pavilion on the water on March 7 at 7 p.m.
The Red Dress Gala raises funds for the Alpha Phi Foundation, which grants a $100,000 Heart to Heart Grant to fund research and education for women's heart health. The foundation also supports scholarship and leadership initiatives for thousands of collegiate women internationally.
This year, Chapman Alpha Phi has extended their fundraising to the Orange County chapter of the American Heart Association in hopes of seeing the results of their work in our own backyard.
Chapman Alpha Phi was recently awarded Top Donors in the Western Quadrant after raising over $75,000 in 2014. They have raised more than $380,000 in the past 20 years to fight against the number one killer of women, heart disease.
You too can support this cause by attending the Red Dress Gala or donating. A ticket to the event includes a three-course dinner, silent & live auctions, entertainment, and so much more.
Auction items currently include but are not limited to vacations packages from Aspen to France, a precious puppy, wine of all varieties, and the ultimate Laker fan package. To purchase your ticket or make a donation visit chapmanreddressgala.eventbrite.com.
All donations are 100% tax-deductible. If you are interested in making making a gift in kind donation or purchasing advertising space, please email RDGChapman@gmail.com.
