The 5th Annual Golden Foodie Awards celebrated local restaurants, chefs, mixologists and more on Sunday, September 25th at the Fairmont Newport Beach. The show hosted Orange County’s culinary elite who sipped on spectacular cocktails and delicious food. The red carpet affair awarded Golden Foodie Statues to the following winners:

GourMOnday at Anqi at South Coast Plaza

Food enthusiasts will love AnQi at South Coast Plaza’s return of its monthly exclusive dining experience, GourMonday. It’s designed for an intimate group of connoisseurs up for a multi-course, one-of-a-kind food and wine adventure. The unique dining series take place at the Chef’s Table at AnQi at South Coast Plaza. The pre-sold dinners are limited to 18 guests.
On Monday, Oct. 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. the dinner theme is “Desde un Pueblo” and AnQi’s chefs will fuse notes of Aztecan, Mayan, Incan, and of course, Asian, flavors into each dish. You can view the menu here. You can reserve your seat here.
Each menu allows House of An chefs to create courses expressly for the evening and not available on AnQi menus. Themes range from the eclectic culture of street fare to progressive culinary styles.
Prices range from $170 to $225 per person, plus tax and gratuity. An exceptional offering will be the “100 Points” on March 6, 2017, where each wine served will have received a 100 point score from Wine Spectator or another respected wine rating critic. Dinner and wine pairings will be $1,500 per guest.
