The 56th annual Corona del Mar Sandcastle Contest will take place on Sunday, Oct. 1 from 10 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. at Big Corona State Beach. This year’s theme is “Pirates of the Pacific.” This long-running event attracts thousands of spectators and contest participants ranging from seasoned professionals to first–timers.

Pink Saves at Outlets at San Clemente

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Outlets at San Clemente is partnering with Susan G. Komen Orange County to host Pink Saves with a full lineup of educational events, survivor fun, heartwarming tributes and special fundraisers for the local chapter of the highest non-government contributor to breast cancer research in the country.
The month-long celebration taking place at Outlets at San Clemente from October 1 through October 31, includes:
Pink Saves Ribbon of Strength Dedication Wall
Shoppers can honor the fighters, survivors and angels in their life on the Pink Saves Dedication Wall, featuring the 15-foot Ribbon of Strength, in Oak Tree Court during the month of October. Each name requires a $25 donation and all proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen® Orange County. With the donation, shoppers receive a free Pink Saves coupon booklet ($10 value) with savings at more than 55 stores and eateries at Outlets at San Clemente. The Ribbon of Strength Dedication Wall will be unveiled to the public during a Sunset Reveal ceremony on Sunday, October 1, at 6:30 p.m. Dedications can be made now through the month of October at Customer Service or online at ShopOSC.com/PinkSaves.
Ribbons & Rosé - Pink Saves Launch Party
Guests can enjoy an exclusive reception on October 1 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the VIP Lounge with tray-passed hors d’oeuvres and chilled rosé, prize drawings, free Pink Saves coupon booklet (a $10 value) and VIP seating at the Pink Saves Dedication Ceremony and Ribbon of Strength Sunset Reveal. Ribbon of Strength Sunset Reveal
Shoppers are invited to join together on October 1 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in support of those affected by breast cancer for a Sunset Reveal of the 15-foot Ribbon of Strength and Dedication Wall – marking the beginning of the inaugural Pink Saves at Outlets at San Clemente. Event is open to the public. VIP seating is available for Ribbons & Rosé VIP Party ticket holders.
Pink Saves Fundraiser – Donate and Save 25% Off
Shoppers are invited to donate $10 to receive a booklet of exclusive Pink Saves coupons valid for 25% off one item at more than 30 stores during the month of October. Donations can be made at Customer Service. All proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen® Orange County.
3rd Annual Shopping Extravaganza
Outlets at San Clemente hosts the Third Annual Shopping Extravaganza charity fundraiser, on Saturday, October 7. Ticket holders will receive exclusive discounts, catered lunch, wine and cocktail tasting and a chance to win more than 1,500 prizes valued at $40,000, all while raising money for 38 local charities, including Breast Cancer Angels, Susan G. Komen® Orange County, Young Survival Coalition and more. Tickets are available for $35 per person, with $25 per ticket being donated to the organization of the shopper’s choice.
Pink Saves Survivors’ Lounge
Survivors and their co-survivors are invited on October 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to enjoy a day of shopping at Outlets at San Clemente with special access to VIP treatment in the exclusive VIP Lounge. Event includes a tote bag filled with special offers, prize drawings, complimentary light bites, beverages and mini treatments provided by Monarch Beach Resort’s Miraval Spa. Plus, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., guests can experience a reading and book signing with Kim Hamer, cancer support expert and author of “100 Acts of Love – A Girlfriend’s Guide to Loving Your Friend Through Cancer or Loss.” Event is complimentary for breast cancer survivors and one guest. Mobile Mammography Coach Tour
On October 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Susan G. Komen Orange County representatives will be onsite providing breast health information and tours of the Mobile Mammography Coach to provide a firsthand look at a mammography appointment and the importance of early detection. Tours are complimentary and will be located near Calvin Klein.
