Studio88 Open House Celebration

Studio88, the West Coast’s first co-working space designed specifically for the Orange County interior design community is celebrating its one-year anniversary with an open house Thursday 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. It will feature wine and cheese, and special vendor appearances by Source Recruiting Agency, 3Form Translucent Materials, Uttermote and Spec Ceramics.
Studio88 celebrates one year of helping independent interior designers share the cost of doing business – with members enjoying co-working desk spaces, designer worktables, extensive resource libraries, private office spaces, conference rooms, design and CAD services, purchasing services, and more. Founded by interior design veteran, Chris Johnson (also founder of Design Tec), the space is meant to be an innovative area for designers that includes everything they need to run their own business in one location, maintaining the ability to work independently and grow, or fine-tune, their businesses, at any stage.
If you can’t make the open house, private tours are always available, and special rates on daily and weekly passes are available. From designers who are scaling down their business, to businesses who are flourishing and need support staff, to small teams starting new, Studio88 has the space and amenities to assist designers with all their needs.
Studio88 is at 20371 Irvine Avenue in Newport Beach.

CASA Pinwheel Project

CASA-OC and Junior Kids for CASA will be displaying 3,100 pinwheels representing the number of children in the Orange County foster care system on Saturday, May 11 at Fashion Island in conjunction with Foster Care Awareness Month happening in May. YOU can sponsor a pinwheel for only $5 or with a donation of $25+ receive a benefit card to receive discounts at select stores at Fashion Island valid from May 9 - 16.
Junior Kids for CASA is a group of children between the ages of 8 and 13 who are learning philanthropy through volunteer work with CASA-OC. This year, Junior Kids for CASA will be leading the fundraising efforts for the 3rd annual Pinwheel Project happening at Fashion Island.
The 2019 Pinwheel Project is being Chaired by Christy Flanagan and her daughter Bridget and Nicole Joseph and her daughter Ava. Junior Kids for CASA will be helping to make this event successful through mini-fundraisers and awareness events leading up to the big day at Fashion Island on May 11, at which they will all be on hand to volunteer and help out at this special fundraiser. CASA is tremendously proud of these youth who are learning about giving back to your community and helping those who are not as fortunate.
Children can enjoy activities including face painting, balloon art, and a DJ from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 11.
