Coast Film Festival in Laguna Beach
11.08.19
Coast Film Festival is a showcase taking place through Saturday in Laguna Beach of filmmakers, artists, photographers, and social changemakers who focus their work on outdoor activities related to the land and sea. They’ve selected over 20 films to inform, entertain, and inspire a community of film fans, outdoor enthusiasts, and culture creatives.
Founded in 2019, the stories, people, cultures, and places featured throughout the festival are presented to entertain and inspire audiences to experience and enjoy nature, while amplifying ongoing conversations about conservation.
Safeguarding the environment is a critical mission of the festival, which is why CFF donates a portion of the event proceeds to support organizations committed to these efforts.
As part of the Coast Film Festival, Big Wave Surf Champion Greg Long will be visiting Laguna Beach’s Top of the World and El Moro Elementary schools on Friday, November 8 to present the Patagonia Action Works program: Protect Your Peaks. Students will hear from Long about the importance of caring for the environment and what they can do in their daily lives to help protect and preserve the natural landscape and beauty of places like Laguna Beach.
A passionate environmental activist, Long’s message to the kids will be to emphasize the significance of defending, oceans, coasts and all the places in nature that provide people with endless joy, health and wellbeing.
