Laguna Beach Books Booksigning WILliam Wheeler

01.14.20

Laguna Beach Books is pleased to welcome William Wheeler, author of State of War: MS-13 and El Salvador's World of Violence on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 5 p.m,  William will be discussing and signing copies of his book. RSVP at LagunaBeachBooks.com.

In State of War, foreign correspondent William Wheeler tells the story of how in the 1980s, the U.S. supported the repressive Salvadoran government in a brutal civil war, and many Salvadoran families fled to America―especially Los Angeles, where teenagers in poor neighborhoods founded MS-13. A decade later, the U.S. responded to rising anti-immigrant sentiment by deporting many Salvadorans back home. Ever since El Salvador has been one of the most violent countries in the world.

Light snacks and complimentary beverages will be served. The book may be purchased in advance at Laguna Beach Books or online at LagunaBeachBooks.com.
