Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern 10th anniversary menu
03.09.20
In anticipation of the 10th anniversary of their flagship location, Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern is rolling out a fresh new menu at all five Jimmy’s locations—in San Diego, Dana Point, Brea, Woodland Hills, Santa Monica. The menu revamp was developed by Culinary Director, Chef Nathan Coulon, who joined the Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern team last year to guide the restaurant into a new decade.
With his extensive experience and relationships with local farmers and fisherman, Coulon’s new menu offers more fresh, healthful options and focuses on sustainability in the kitchen, while still delivering the classic American fare Jimmy’s is known and loved for. To complement Coulon’s modernized menu is a brand new cocktail menu created by TJ Majesk.
Menu highlights include the Albacore Tuna Melt (Albacore, cheddar cheese, roasted Ortega chile on parmesan crusted sourdough); Charred Brussels Sprouts (topped with pecan wood smoked bacon, toasted almonds, and maple syrup); Kale Quinoa Salad (chopped organic black kale, roasted squash, parmesan, red quinoa, toasted almonds, lemon dressing); BBQ St. Louis Style Ribs (1 or 2 lb), served with jalapeño cheddar scalloped potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, cornbread; and Tavern Bowl (brown rice, garbanzo beans, gruyere, oven-dried tomatoes, radish, arugula, avocado, roasted pumpkin seeds, Sriracha dressing).
You can pair your meal with one of the following standout cocktails from Majeske: Crowd Pleaser (Ketel One, Gifford Passion Fruit Liqueur, Peychaud's Bitters, orgeat syrup, lemon juice), Gringo Lingo (Coconut washed Traditional Silver Tequila, Ancho Reye's Chili Liqueur, spicy bitters, lime juice, agave, toasted coconut, Tajin rim), For a Good Thyme Call (Nolet's Gin, lemon juice, thyme, infused honey, walnut bitters), The Beatnik (Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Greenbar Hibiscus Liqueur, lemon juice, blackberry puree).
Open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Wednesday; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
